10 THINGS I’M EXCITED ABOUT
As many of you may now, I’m back from Copenhagen and I’m both sick and injured, haha. Before I left, I caught a cold and it was stubborn, so flying and dry air wasn’t the best. Also, the weather was really bad so I immediately lost my voice and felt worse, SO I still haven’t recovered even though it’s been two weeks. AND last evening in Copenhagen, I accidentally fell in my heels and I twisted my ankle really bas so I haven’t been able to walk much at all. This all feels very heavy, but I’m trying to stay positive and I feel like the universe is really trying to tell me to slow down after a hectic spring and summer without much rest. This full weekend has been about ice-cream, sleep, cuddling with my dog, Netflix-series and just slow activities which has been so needed. Hopefully a few more days like this will mean that I’m back on track soon!
Since my fall season hasn’t started off very well and I’ve struggled quite a bit lately, I thought I would try to spread some positive energy. Here are 10 things I’m excited about, that makes me happy and that gives me butterflies.
1 – Getting back into routines. Whenever I feel sick, have been inside for a while or anything similar, I can’t wait to get back into routines with working out, healthy eating etc. I don’t like when it gets too much though, as it can get overwhelming, and I’ve found that I prefer to workout around five times per week, but less heavy each session. I’m also so excited to start working, to get up early in the morning, for my morning smoothies, walks, journalling and so on.
2 – Paris this fall. Lovisa and I are going back to my favorite city in this whole wide world. I’m longing for beautiful views, pavlova at Costes, coffee at Kitsuné, walks in the Tuileries, shopping at Rue Saint-Honoré, wine dinner at L’Avenue and the best meat at Le Relais de L’Entrecôte. I’m so excited to go back and most of all, so excited to go back with Lovisa.
3 – New York this fall. I haven’t been to New York in about five years, but it’s absolutely one of my favorite cities. I’m dying to go back with my partner in crime and I’m so excited to visit La Mercerie, Il Buco, Estela, Misi, Cipriani and so many other places. Just to grab morning coffee in New York is special. Wow I can’t wait. My dream is to live there one day for a few months.
4 – Fall dinners with friends. I mean cozy evenings at home with red wine, home cooked, warm food, long conversations, slow music and candles. This excites me so much.
5 – Going out for wine. Mine and Lotta’s first visit is Babette. We’ve been longing to go there for such a long time and I can’t wait to have wine there, their amazing tartar and other sharing dishes.
6 – To have my family around when I feel a little sick. This is more of something I’m grateful for. It’s been such a blessing to have them around and to not be completely by myself. I really don’t like being alone, and especially not when I have to spend much time lying down in the couch.
7 – Coffee date with friends. It’s the small things and one thing I really love and appreciate are coffee dates with my friends.
8 – Buying my next bag. Not something that will happen anytime soon, but I can’t wait for the next purchase. It’s been a while since I last bought a new one and I’m excited to get a new one to wear with all my fall looks.
9 – Fall fashion. I love fall so, so much and especially fall fashion. Imagine cashmere knits, grey tones, beige, brown, layering, oversized fits and coats. It’s my favorite season when it comes to clothes and fashion so I can’t wait to start shopping for fall pieces.
10 – Routines. It kind of goes hand in hand with the first bullet point, but when it comes to this I’m also thinking of beauty routines, moving to my own apartment and creating my own routines. The past few years have been very hectic for me and without stability and I can’t wait to find more stability and peace.
What are 10 things you look forward to?
